Sustainable and well cushioned. One of the best eco-friendly running shoes on the market.
The Veja Marlin offers serious sustainability and is very well cushioned.
Perhaps the most environmentally friendly running shoe on the market today, the Marlin uses 62% recycled or bio-based materials in its construction, with many of its component parts being 100% environmentally friendly. But such figures are nothing if the shoe doesn’t perform. Fortunately it does and indeed excels expectation.
It is the most ‘runnable’ shoe of its type we’ve tried.
The midsole (made with 60% sugar cane) feels incredibly cushioned and indeed very familiar which serves to prove we don’t have to be reliant on ‘super-foams’.
The knitted upper comes 100% from recycled plastic bottles and again feels great, offering everything you’d expect from a shoe made using other sources.
Guiding groves run the length of the outsole to keep the foot moving through the right gain. Pimpled rubber outsole offers traction.
For athletes seeking a serious training shoe option with earth-friendly credentials the Marlin is the best shoe on the market.
