Light with decent cushioning, the GOmeb Speed 4 is great value for money.
A light shoe that works to provide cushioning thanks to the interesting looking thin webbed outsole. It’s strictly a road shoe because of this: don’t expect loads of grip, rather a competitive shoe that probably has a shorter lifespan than a regular training shoe. As with many Skechers this season, the curved rocking style shape of the shoe has been flattened out, but our testers still felt it really complemented forefoot strikers. As you’d expect, the upper is superbly constructed (most shoes are these days) and the tightly woven fabric does exactly what you’d expect in terms of fit and breathability and stability. The heel counter ensures you don’t flop around, which can be a problem in the latter stages of a marathon. So top marks there.
A shoe built with the needs of a marathon in mind. Cushioned, yet light, supportive yet competitive.
