The RIde has dropped the 'ISO' from the name but remains a great update to the product line. The new FORMFIT upper and PWRRUN midsole make it the best version of the shoe to date.
Great shoe for logging daily training miles. Not overly complicated but it doesn't have to be. Smooth roll through the gait cycle and easy to get along with.
A nice looking update to the Ride with a familiar feel. New upper design is simple and effective. A shoe you can step into and go, no fuss. Does the job very well.
A PWRRUN midsole provides the cushioning. This 'upgraded' EVA based material adds a slightly more springy feel to things but also retains that spring for better durability. It's a nice ride and makes for effortless miles.
The FORMFIT upper is a change from the ISO fit uppers of the past. It's a simple design but the combination of its knit structure and overlays gives a great fit (especially around the midfoot).
The TRI-FLEX outsole design creates a flexible sole that also provides reasonable levels of grip and traction on a variety of surfaces. It's hard wearing and also adds a level of additional cushioning to the overall ride.
Good value everyday training shoe. Ticks all the right boxes with regards to what you'll want from a shoe.
For an alternative to the Ride, check out the NB 880 or the Brooks Ghost
