A good everyday training shoe for those seeking a combination of cushioning and control.
Whilst similarly priced to the brand's more common 'Guide' shoe in the catagory, the Omni offers slightly higher levels of support and contol for the over-pronator.
An effective level of support that works very well for over-pronators. Combine this with deep cushioning and you have a very capable high mileage shoe for everyday training. A good upper wraps the foot well to contribute to the support yet is soft and plush.
Built in what is now rather a tradditional way, with a medial post to provide the control, this shoe still provides support and control for over pronators.
For higher mileage runners or perhaps those training for a marathon, The Saucony Omni ISO 2 provides a great combination of cushioning and control.
The EVERUN midsole is essentially Saucony's version of adidas BOOST, only here its embedded within the core of the shoe. used in this manner makes for an all together better design with a more stable overall feel and thats before adding the medial post. The medial post in this shoe is positioned towards the rear of the shoe and does a great job of controlling over-pronation.
A 'topsole' (a layer of additional cushioning) placed directly under the shoes insole provides an extra touch of cushioning and makes for an instanlty pleasing feel.
Like many of the brand's shoes this season, the upper is well padded and instantly feels plush around the foot. Some may consider there to be too much use of layers of foam embedded in the upper mesh, but its light and breathable and very comfortable.
Durable and flexible, the sole contributes to the overall stability with a connected band of rubber along the medial side of the sole. Relatively deep flex grooves cut into the sole enhance the level of traction.
The shoe does the job, simple as that. For everyday training and racking up the miles, if you require support and control, this is a great option.
EVERUN Topsole provides an additional layer of responsive cushioning to further enhance the energy return.
TRI-FLEX design has been updated to help increase flexibility, adaptability, and durability of the shoe.
ISOFIT is a stretchable mesh that adapts to the foot's size, shape, and movement, creating a soft sock-like feel, with updated lacing eyelets to distribute pressure evenly across the top of the foot.
