Effective control and good cushioning. A shoe built in the traditional manner, with a medial post to provide control. One of the few shoes that stuck with this method of control and whilst it still works it's a safe bet.
If you need a shoe that will control over pronation and offer good levels of cushioning, this is it. There's nothing really exciting here but it does the job and does it well.
Mainly cosmetic update to the brand's shoe that offers their highest level of support. Midsole cushioning and control remains unchanged, and that is a good thing as it worked well. Upper is neat and holds the foot well.
The dual density midsole provides the cushioning and support and uses the tried and tested method of control over pronation. It works, as simple as that. So if you want a shoe that is built for the job, look no further.
New FORMFIT upper uses the now standard engineered mesh. It's nicely finished and has good levels of padding without being to heavy or bulky. Extra padding in the heel counter means that for those that require additional support, they get it whilst the foot is well protected.
Unchanged from the previous edition of the shoe, the sole is durable and flexible. The sole contributes to the overall stability with a connected band of rubber along the medial side of the sole. Relatively deep flex grooves cut into the sole enhance the level of traction meaning you can venture onto light trails and gravel tracks without too much concern.
The shoe does the job and remains a truly supportive shoe for over-pronators. In that respect, it is dependable and effective, hence we've scored it up a notch this season as many shoes venture into softer less stable foams.
For decent alternatives, check out the Asics GT2000 or the Mizuno Wave Inspire
