Ok - so we've not had chance to try this shoe for ourselves, so the score is simply based on heresay for now from runners that have tried it.
Saucony simply haven't had enough stock to fulfill our order!
The jury is still out - but as soon as we've tried it for ourselves we'll be right back with more details.
Having tried the shoe on (but unfortunately not ran it them) what we can say is that it's light and feels familiar. Familiar in that it has an initially soft, springy feel to the foam, with a stiff forefoot to give that propulsive toe-off.
It did feel a little unstable due to the narrow dimentions of the midsole in the area directly under the heel.
Soft and with a certain amount of 'spring' to it, it promises a smooth, propulsive ride thanks to the embedded carbon fibre plate.
Light, breathable mesh.
Standard road racing outsole with nothing of particular note here.
If it's stable enough for you then it's a competitor to the Nike models. But at £200 many may simply go the extra way and opt for the popular choice.
