The flagship luxurious neutral everyday running shoe from Nike Bowerman series is as popular and a good as ever
The Nike Zoom Vomero 14 is a super plush, everyday running shoe with an incredibly soft, yet springy ride that has been completely re-worked from the previous model.
Nike have really nailed the tradtional looking Max cushioning shoes with this new Vomero 14. Traditionally, the Vomero has struggled against the better prices and superb Nike Pegasus 36 but with the new updates there is finally a decernable separation between the two models.
A stunning looking and incredible performing all round max cushion shoe has arrived and should not be overlooked when your looking for your next shoe!
There are more expensive neutral running shoes in the nike line-up. If you want a more reactive shoe, the Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit is worth a look but we prefered the Vomero over the Nike Joyride.
To create the ride that is noticeably softer and snappier than the Pegasus, designers took React foam from the Nike Epic React and combined it with a full-length Zoom Air unit. This is a real runners shoe in every way and Nike have nailed the top end of its core line with the Vomero.
The sleek mesh upper is engineered for support and durability. In the midfoot, the flywire system creates a fit that feels like the shoe was built uniquely for you. Nike's level of shoe engineering is second to none and it's more the things you done see that make them stand out, rather than the obvious visible things - the foam pods that cradle the heel are superb, and the heel tab that drifts away for the achilles is beautifully crafted!
A durable outsole completes the Vomero 14, adding another dimension of softness to this great distance option. Full rubber coverage gives great durabilty and traction and an interesting cored out centre that cuts well into the midsole delivers great heel to toe trasition by allowing the whole midsole to decouple and work almost independantly from lateral to medial sides.
With so many shoes in the Nike line, you could distracted when looking for a great running shoe. The Vomero 14 offers you some laser focus for a superb high end running shoe that is best in class for a combination of cushioning vs performance! The balance is quite superb!
React is soft and responsive cushioning compound built to deliver a high level of shock absorption without sacrificing energy return.
Zoom Air located in the heel and forefoot consists of low-profile pressurized air pockets that flex on contact for responsive cushioning, updated for a plusher underfoot feel.
BRS 1000 carbon rubber provides durable traction.
Deep Anatomical Flex Grooves offer flexibility and mobility for a smooth ride.
Rubber Crash Rail on the lateral side acts as a cushioning device for smoother transitions and enhanced flexibility.
Engineered mesh was updated and its sleeker knit design is engineered for durability and support.
