The tiny beads inside the capsule in the midsole aim to cushion the foot to create the ultimate recovery run shoe. Unfortunately, mixed reports from our testers and even Nike sponsored athletes tell us it misses the mark.
Designed for recovery runs, the idea is that these shoes will provide the ultimate in cushioning. The beads encased in the heel of the shoe provide this cushioning but its so unusual that running just doesn't feel right and in this case, Nike fail to hit the spot.
Whilst we appreciate the thought of an 'ultimate recovery shoe' you might be better off in the Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit as it's light and has bags of bouncy neutral cushioning.
They feature a brand-new cushioning system aptly named Conforming Cushioning, which consists of thousands of tiny foam beads contained in strategically placed pockets under your foot. With every footstrike, the beads compress and adapt to the shape of your foot, giving you unparalleled impact absorption with a stable feel.
It is unusual and many report they 'just can't get used to it' making for an expensive experience.

Durable rubber is placed on high-wear areas of the outsole.
More style than substance means these are probably best avoided given the price.
Conforming Cushioning consists of tiny foam beads contained in 4 strategically placed pockets underneath your foot. They compress and adapt to your every step for incredible impact absorption and a stable feel.
Zoned Durable Rubber is placed on the outside in high-wear zones. The raised nobs add traction.
Flyknit Bootie features a one-piece, overlay-free upper, engineered for enhanced support, flexibility and breathability.
The 1-piece foam Comfort Collar gives smooth, secure cushioning. The low-cut design feels comfortable around your ankle and makes the shoe easy to take on and off.
