Big and plush riding, the new version features only minmal changes. Still a lovely high mileage shoe then...
Great cushioning for long distance cruising. Comfortable form-fitting upper. Light and plush, a great everyday shoe.
The 1080 v11 is a big, plush riding high mileage shoe and the new model carries on in the same vein as the 10th incarnation. It still carries that big, bouncy and bulky looking midsole and very nicely designed technical upper. Not a lot has changed in this update. The upper has been reworked to offer a slightly better fit and the heel area features an improved Ultra Heel material for improved snugness.
The midsole features the same bouncy ride as before. Big, indulgent comfort to lap up the miles. The Fresh Foam is soft and also responsive and with the size of its frame, ideally suited for training days only. That said, the shoe is relatively light weight making it a great faster shoe for the bigger person or someone requireing a lot of protection.

We like the upper on the 1080 v11. It's smart, well engineered with a really good heel counter tech. It is more streamlined than the v10 model but still offers that stretchy comfort. NB have added more Ultra Heel tech which hugs and grips the back of the heel. This makes the shoe fit more securely.
The hexagonal design elements on the shoe are reflected on the outsole acting as grip in high wear areas. The rest of the outsole has been stripped out to aid lightness. The blown rubber offers decent enough traction and flex grooves obviously feature to ensure that this bulky beast is not at all rigid.
Comfortable cruising with a bit of bulk but without the weight. A lovely shoe for effortless longer running.
