It is poplar for a good reason. It offers a firm ride but we think that will suit a lot of people requiring motion control in a shoe. A good choice also for the runner who might be slightly bigger and heavier than average.
The unique Wave system incorporated into the brands shoes proves to be an effective way of enhancing cushioning and controlling pronation.
In this, the brands most popular control model, the Wave is thicker and deeper on the medial side of the shoe (the inside edge) to resist inward roll and thinner on the outside edge where the foot initially strikes the ground.
As the foot rolls in, the Wave starts to counter the movement and therefore offers an efficient way of controlling pronation. The system works very well even when compared with new technology and as it doesn’t add unnecessary weight to the shoe it offers an almost ‘race-like’ feel.
The Inspire is Mizuno's most popular shoe. It sits in the middle of the brand's stability offering under the Mizuno Horizon 4 and above the Equate 4.
The midsole has not changed from the previous model and so offers a firm yet responsive ride.
A new, improved upper with lacing that integrates into the rearfoot, holding the heel securely within the shoe for added control adds to the stability to make the shoe a serious contender in this category.
A blend of X10 carobn rubber in high wear areas and blown rubber for smooth comfort.
A great shoe and a popular model for those needing more control.
Cloudwave consists of a redesigned elastic, thermal plastic wave running from the heel to the midfoot, creating an incredibly springy and well-cushioned ride.
Smooth Ride is a gender-specific network of grooves that minimizes the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot to create a smooth heel to toe ride.
U4ic is a lightweight midsole that provides optimal shock absorption, improved durability, and a resilient ride.
U4icX Heel Wedge is a lighter, more cushioned version of U4ic that delivers a soft, pillowy underfoot feel for cushion upon impact.
Double Fan Wave provides a stable ride to reduce pronation without increased stiffness.
X10 located in the heel is made of durable carbon rubber for enhanced traction.
Blown rubber in the forefoot increases cushioning and responsiveness.
Flex Controllers placed in high flex areas on the outsole act as miniature wave plates for increased flexibility and reduced weight.
Engineered Mesh offers a softer fit and a more wearable look.
Dynamotion Fit creates an optimal fit with stretch material in the forefoot and a collar construction that prevents the heel collar from buckling under load.
Stitched Overlays on the medial and lateral sides help secure the foot in place.
U4icX Strobel Lasting board for a comfortable and cushioned underfoot feel.
