The 6th edition of one of our favourite off-road shoes with rock plate protection and grip courtesy of Michelin.
A great all round off-road shoe that is not only comfortable but gives you confidence. The cushioning is stable and protective, the rock plate and grip shields from the elements and is capable on varied terrain.
This popular trail shoe from Mizuno sees updates to the upper and midsole this season.
The cushioning uses the brands U4icX foam in a familiar Wave configuration. As always this adds to the stability of the shoe and makes for a smooth and reassuringly stable ride, even on uneven terrain.
The upper has a new, closely woven mesh that feels neat and protective around the foot. It has printed overlays around the toe for added durability and protection as well as a gusseted tongue to help keep debris out of the shoe.
A rock-plate is embedded between the sole and the cushioning and means sharp rocks and stones can’t penetrate the shoe, giving you confidence to venture anywhere.
Tyre makers Michelin provide the rubber for the sole, so it’s hard wearing as well as reliably dependable, giving you a confident footing on any surface.
Sure there are updates, but the shoe remains as good as ever. Comfortable upper, stable cushioning and that rock plate / outsole combo that gives you confidence underfoot. It remains one of the best.
