For Hoka fans the MACH 3 offers all the familiar traits of the brand in a lightweight package.
There’s maximal cushioning and a relatively low 5mm heel drop. It’s a quite simply put together shoe with few component parts, a two-piece midsole/sole and one-piece knitted mesh upper. This keeps the weight down but doesn’t detract from a good fit and racy feel to the ride.
For a shoe with similar features, check out the Hoka RIncon for comparrison. If you need even more cushioning, check out the Hoka Clifton 6, Bondi 6 or Elavon 2.
The PROFLY foam provides the usual cushioned landing and a propulsive toe-off. The rocker geometry provides a rolling and smooth ride.
The upper is produced using an engineered Jacquard Mesh which offers structure and an improved midfoot lockdown. The tongue features some neat cut-outs which will aid breathability.
The rubberized foam outsole delivers a high energy return, providing additional cushioning and good enough traction.
