The Ravenna sits well below the Brooks Transcend 7, the Brooks Bedlam 2 and just below the Adrenaline model but it's a different type of shoe. It's perfect for someone needing support but wanting a lighter shoe for faster training sessions and tempo runs; also would suit most of us as a supportive racing shoe.
Familiar Brooks BioMoGo DNA midsole as in many of the brand's models means you are getting great cushioning. The Guiderails support system works very well and for all but the most flexible feet, it will provide good support and control without being intrusive.
A neat design and no-frills construction mean a good fit and nice breathability.
Decent grip thanks to some deep lugs in the forefoot and full rubber coverage gives great durabilty. It's a basic and effective outsole.
A cracking running shoe that feels really fast on and offers enough support for many runners at speed over shorter distances - a very credible alternative in the lightweight support category!
