The Brooks Glycerine 19 remains the brands top neutral cushioned shoe and is their softest model yet. Featuring more DNA Loft foam, it delivers a superbly cushioned ride, perfect for logging the daily miles in.
Plush, deep cushioning the Glycerin delivers a great soft ride that's smooth and welcoming mile after mile.
The new model is as attractive as the last and features a newly designed upper, but the main addition to this version 19 is that Brooks have added even more DNA LOFT foam to their already impressive midsole.
If you’re after neutral comfort, this is the brand’s top model. It delivers a very smooth and stable cushioned ride. It’s a plush model as you’d expect at this price and from Brooks. Luxurious comfort to run long in.
If you're after a slightly lighter shoe, have a look at the Brooks Ghost 13.
More of the DNA LOFT has been added delivering a soft ride and impact protection. As per the previous model, we found the cushioning durable too.
The DNA LOFT is really quite stable as a foam and doesn’t break down so we also found it really quite stable.
The upper has been reworked with a different engineered mesh configuration. Designed to be more ‘form fitting, we found them really comfortable. The comfort of the shoe is really as good as ever. The padded heel collar is thick and snug and the mesh light and airy.
The sole features a guidance channel running down the length of the shoe with multiple flex grooves for smooth transitions. The grip pattern offers decent traction on road as you’d expect but would also be OK off-road on dry trails and for ParkRuns.
If you want one of the best cushioned shoes around, then consider the Glycerin 19. It delivers luxurious comfort; great for daily miles and perfect for when your legs feel tired. The midsole is soft but stable and the upper fits really well so your overriding feeling of this model is one of classy comfort. Treat yourself!
