For those with a neutral running gait, the Ghost has to be one of the most versatile and complete shoes around. It's a work-horse shoe that offers a luxurious ride mile after mile.
Fantastic. Everything the previous model was and a little more. The upgraded midsole feels great from the first step. Cushioning well with the perfect level of feedback for everyday use at any pace.
The full-length DNA Loft material used in the midsole now gives the shoe a great feel from heel strike to toe off. It's durable too, with little signs of compression after several hundred miles.
The Glycerin 19 offers even more cushioning if you want the ultimate from Brooks but for the vast majority of us, the Ghost will do just fine.
Familiar Brooks quality with a soft, lightly padded upper that holds the foot like a hug from a close friend. Breathability is good as is flexibility, it's effective without being over complicated.
Whilst designed for the roads, the outsole pattern of the Ghost makes it great on a wide variety of surfaces. Gravel, forest trails and paths and dirt tracks are all within its capabilities.
A near unbeatable shoe for the neutral runner.
You could spend a little more and go for Brooks range topping shoe in the catagory, the Glycerine, but we really don't see why you need anything othre than this - it's simply an amazing shoe!
