A rather specific shoe in terms of who it's most suitable for, broad, high volumn foot requiring general stability. Does that job very well at a very reasonable price.
It might not be the lightest of most flexible of shoes, but this is aimed very specifically at those that want stable cushioning and are a heavier runner or those with a higher volume foot. In that category it does its job very well. And it is a great price!
Main updates are the new mesh upper in both design and fit. It's a little more luxurious and padded and on a shoe at this price feels very high quality.
The deep, stable cushioning remains the same as the previous model and feels like it has things under control from the off. There are no rolls but just enough flexibility to enjoy the ride.
While the Dyad sits at the bottom of the neutral range, it's a very good shoe so if you're on a budget, you won't be able to do much better anywhere. Have a look at the Brooks Aduro for an alternative. If you want more cushioning though, look no further than the Brooks Ghost and if you want the best of both cushioning/support worlds, go for the Adrenaline GTS.
The familiar BioMoGo midsole is able to provide ample cushioning regardless of weight and there's plenty of it. So it's durable and after a couple of initial runs feels super soft.
The design helps keep the overall shape supportive and stable without being controlling, so it's a great platform on which to place orthotics or simply just a stable neutral shoe.
A generously fitting upper provides plenty of volume for those with a higher instep or broader feet. It's a soft mesh construction so feels neat around the foot and the largley seam-free construction means no irritation.
The sole design contributes to the stability a little, with the medial rubber section being a little more 'connected' for less flex, but it's not a largely noticable feeling, it kinda does the job without getting in the way.
