Given its lower price point and similar features to other trail shoes in the Brooks range, this one makes for a smart choice. When off road running the difference between models is less noticeable, making this a great value option.
A good value, hard wearing offering with great features. The fact the shoe has been made to meet a price point is to the runners advantage. The shoe is very competitively priced and performs anywhere you take it.
Durable and hard wearing, tough materials and construction. Same midsole material as many road shoes so should be a nice ride.
BioMoGo DNA cushioning is the same midsole foam material found on many of the brand road going models, so cushioning is great. It's a nicely balanced unit too, smoothing out the rought ground as you run.
A hard wearing knitted construction, doesn't feel quite as soft as some, but that adds confidence when you are talking on harsh terrain. It lets water out (as well as in) but again thats a benefit when things the weather turns or the route! It's a good fit around the midfoot, snug and secure and a little roomier around the forefoot so thats a big plus point for lots of runners.
TrailTack sticky rubber outsole gives good traction on most surfaces. It only really struggles on deep mud, but then most shoes do, so for the trails most runners will encounter it's a great allrounder. A stone guard stops sharp rocks and stones pushing up into the foot and is a great added feature.
Good value, good performance and hard wearing. For the money it's a great off-road option.
