A great value trail shoe which, for fans of the brand is an easy way to get off-road.
A good value off-road option, this shoe is a great option for those venturing away from the roads for the first time. Good levels of cushioning and grip make it a no-nonsense option.
The same great build quality that you'd epect from Brooks means high quality design and construction. The BioMoGo midsole cushioning provides excellent shock absorbtion and works well with the 4mm heel drop. Sitting a little lower to the trail means you are more stable.
Grip is good for most surfaces but not exceptional. That said, on the type of paths that many will use it should be sufficient.
For the same money, the brand have another good shoe called the Brooks Cascadia 14 which is slightly more durable but a little heavier.
The lightweight BioMoGo DNA midsole is stacked high to promote a cushioned stride over long distances while adapting to trail hazards.
A lightweight, durable engineered mesh upper provides ventilation and drainage. Built-in strategic stretch and structure ensure an impeccable fit. Theres easy gaiter attachment thanks to the integrated gaiter tab at the heel which secures gaiters with a hook and loop.
The lace keeper stows laces away, preventing snags on brancehes or trail brush.
The TrailTack sticky rubber outsole and high surface-area lugs provide good uphill and downhill traction — even on wet surfaces. Yes, there are shoes with deeper grip - if thats what you prefer try the brand's Cascadia shoe.
A good value shoe that should serve the needs of many off-road runners.
