Asics have delivered a Max cushioned off-roader featuring GUIDESOLE™ midsole tech to help save you energy over long distances. Couple this with a great grippy outsole and durable attractive upper, and you have an trail shoe that will save your legs while logging the miles.
Max cushioning and new toe-off energy saving tech makes the Trabuco Max a good choice for long distance trail and adventure runs. Soft but springy midsole, great grip and a durable attractive upper makes this model certainly worthy of consideration if considering a max trail shoe.
The Trabuco Max is a tweaked version of other shoes in the Fujitrabuco line, this time to attract those who like max cushioned shoes.
An offroad shoe for covering long distances in, the shoe features more Flytefoam midsole foam than in other models and also something the brand call GUIDESOLE™, a sole contruction technology scientifically proven to give you more toe-spring, saving you energy over the miles.
This makes the trabuco Max a great shoe for long trail and adventure runs and races. As ever with the max height shoes, just be careful of the height on them as the higher you get, the more susceptible you are to rolling ankles etc.
So the big selling point in this model is obviously the max cuchioning midsole. It's light as it uses Asics FLYTEFOAM™ midsole foam which delivers a soft smooth ride but it is the addition of the new GUIDESOLE™ tech that's particularly interesting. This new tech deivers energy savings by way of aiding toe-off, much appreciated when covering long distances.
The max height is 28mm at the heel, 23mm for the forefoot so much higher than that of say the faster Fujitrabuco Lyte model.
Attractive TPU overlays enhance this engineered mesh upper adding strength and durability. We think they look really attractive. there's an additional toe bumper to protect both foot and shoe on rocky terrain.
The GUIDESOLE™ tech wraps up the side and looks a lot like the Brooks GuideRail technology.
ASICSGRIP™ is a very grippy and excellent outsole tech. Multi-directional deep lugs offer excellent traction on a wide variety of surfaces including wet rocks.
An off-road max shoe offering lightweight cushioning with the addition of that new energy saving GUIDESOLE™ tech. Not built on a rocker design like other max shoes such as the Hoka Mafate Speed 3, this shoe relys on that GUIDESOLE™ tech to save you energy. If you are an Asics fan and want a Max cushioned shoe which will save your legs over long distance runs, this could be the model you've been waiting for.
