Overview

Very strong cushioning shoe - as you would expect for this money. As well as good cushioning you also get good guidance and very comfortable upper. If you do not need this level of protection a lighter more responsive runnign shoe could be more your bag. The forefoot is very well cushioning as well as the heel so you get a very good ride from heel to toe.

Great all-round, well-cushioned, durable shoes, suitable for long distances

These were my first pair of proper running shoes that i ever owned. And how they've served me well! One year has flown by injury-free. The cushioning makes them suitable for long runs- I ran the Paris Marathon in these and my feet barely ached after. They have barely worn down after many hundreds of miles of usage so I would say they are highly durable. They'll also hold their own on the trail, even though they are definitely more of a road shoe.

Overall, a superb all-round shoe suitable for beginners and experienced runners alike that can handle the long distances with ease.

Nimbus is the best for beginners

Gel-Nimbus shoes are without any doubt one of the best shoes that beginner may purchase. With great stability, comfort and cushioning they just excite and let even beginner to feel the real pleasure of running. However, the 11th version is now a bit too old. You can check the 13th and last 14th iteration on the Asics Nimbus official site. Nimbus 14
