The Kayano has a high level of both cushioning and guidance. The support is great for mild to more severe over-pronators and the shock absorption is also top notch. The fit and feel of the shoe add to the good comfort. The ride is nice and smooth which is helped by the fact the shoe is not particularly heavy.Road Race Suitability

Unfortunately these shoes led to shin splints, which I believe has to do with too much gel. The food is guided to the lateral aspect of the foot by the hard arch support.
