Overview

The Kayano continues to offer a high level of protection with good cushioning that feels fairly springy rather than too soft. The support is good but the shoe is also surprisingly responsive given the level of cushioning and support on offer. It is not a lightweight by any means but if you were worried about the protection turning your shoe bulky then you should be assured this isn't the case with the Kayano. the fit is good and all in all the performance is what you might expect in a shoe costing this much! Gender specific design in the midfoot and upper.

Not for lighweight midfoot landers

With all the rewards this shoe gets, I'm convinced it is a good shoe. However not for me. I hope the girl in the shop did a good job for her bonus, but it was not for me. The shoe is too hard in the middle part for me as midfoot runner. Besides that it gives me a big heavy shoe feeling with not much contact to the road. I use it mainly as long distance trainer, and after a few 100km's it feels a little better, but it will never become my favourite shoe.
