Overview
It's easy why this is the top trail shoe from adidas. It's not so clear why they have changed the name to 'Revolt' rather than calling it the adiStar Trail 4. The heel now has Formotion on each side so the medial and lateral part can decouple to keep things stable on uneven ground. The cushioning is fine and the grip is just the job. It's a very good trail shoe but many of us will find the Supernova or Response trail shoes do a perfectly adequate job at lesser prices.
