A lightweight, old school road racing shoe. Low profile and lightweight for the efficient, neutral runner looking for something for those faster paced runs.

Our verdict

In a world of high-tech road racers, the market demands and some would say expect stand-out features. This shoe is essentially old-school. Nothing wrong with that, it's just questionable if old-school can survive.

  • Positive
  • Lightweight
  • Good cushioning given low weight
  • Secure fit
  • Negative
  • Nothing ground-breaking

First impressions

An old-school racer given a modern revamp. It used nice materials and feels good, but the competition is very hot and fast in this sector!

The Feisu 2 sits on its own as the only racer 361 produce at the time of writing.

Midsole

The brands Qu!kfoam material is combined with a layer of CM-EVA to absord the biggest part of any impact. It feels smooth and effective and certainly isn't carrying excess weight.

Upper

A super-lightweight mesh is very breathable and together with faux suede creates a really nice fitting upper. It feels like a racer as soon as you pull it on. Light, close fitting and minimal, it's how a racer should feel.

Sole

A simple blown rubber affair in the forefoot to give a little extra cushioning, with carbon rubber inserted at the heel for durability. Traction is fine for a road racer.

Conclusion

Light, efficient cushioning and a flexible forefoot give this a classic road racing shoe feel. It feels good, but we can't help feel that people buying road racing shoes these days want a little more in terms of performance.

Maybe training shoes have been the cause of this, with every increasing cushioning leaving legs expecting more on race day and the days of low-profile racers are numbered as a result.

Technical info

It is a lightweight and fuss-free model, so advances in technology are simply renamed industry standard features. Good, but nothing ground-breaking.
